I am a character animator who started like all, dreaming big and hoping to make it one day! I finally decided to study animation after watching “Finding Nemo”. After a one-year program at TTTC, I started working in a company called Plan B working for ¨Transformers Rescue Bots¨. I then worked on my first feature film in Mexico ¨The Big Wish¨. Later on, two more features came during my time at Huevocartoon. Now I am working as a freelance animator and learning new skills and still working towards that dream.
AM
I eat breakfast with a good cup of coffee. Then check if I have any meeting at all (brief, update, feedback). Then I start working on my shots, setting daily goals.
PM
I resume whatever work is pending, taking breaks now and then. I assign 1 hour to practice drawing or any 2D stuff I am working on then head home for dinner and sleep for a full 8 hours of sleep (if I can).
- Keep studying/ practicing (This industry is always changing; you can always learn something new)
- Ask for a lot of feedback, don’t be shy and don’t take it personally (been there).
- Don’t compare yourself with others, everyone has different paths. Work towards making your path the best it can be. Set your goals and make stepping stones towards them.
