- TIPS
I first started filming as a freelance videographer in 2010 whilst studying Video and film production at University. I established myself as a filmmaker throughout the next 5 years travelling the world working for many different brands until currently being hired as a Videographer for PRETTYLITTLETHING creating video campaigns.
AM
After breakfast on-site, I check my emails to make sure all projects are up to date. I then meet with Brand Creatives and Directors to plan out upcoming shoots.
I then begin to plan for the next video campaign by researching new film techniques and audio.
PM
Before any shoot, I make sure all the equipment and lighting for in-house shoots are up to the correct standard and make sure all health and safety measures are followed and then assist the Videography team with all shoots and edits.
- Be proactive in creating. Film is art so don’t wait around to create art. Enjoy the craft long before trying to make it a career.
- Practice Practice Practice!! Too many videographers make the mistake of waiting for work as an excuse to get out and practice their look/style. Just go out and practice as much as you can.
