Tommy Johnson

SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST

I started by completing my level 3 sports massage qualification and from there went straight into massaging friends and family. After developing an online profile around the Wolverhampton area, one of the professional footballers came across my profile and started using my services. This then snowballed into having over 200 professional athletes ranging from England International Footballers, Premier League, Championship, etc. Into Team GB athletes in gymnastics and Boxing.

AM

Day to day vary differently depending on the day with mainly my evenings being the more busiest time. Mornings would usually consist of chilling out, breakfast and training while organising the day.

PM

The evening is where I would either be traveling to my office space or to client’s houses, depending on who it is would depend on how far I travel as sometimes I go as far as Birmingham and Stoke.

  1. Talk to as many people as possible and let them know what you do. It’s an interesting job to be doing so people will show interest. Even if they are never going to have a session themselves, they will know you offer the service and will recommend it.
  2. Social media and word of mouth is the best form of advertising. Pictures speak a thousand words so getting photos or videos would help spread the word. However, at the same time, try not to spam too much on social media as I feel this often puts me off certain businesses and I stop paying attention.
  3. Set your prices and stick to them. Don’t let anybody devalue your business. You know what you’re worth and how much money you have put into the business.
