Josh Samuel Degale

PERSONAL TRAINER

I started with a passion for sports playing football and basketball. After studying Sports Science in Sixth Form I enrolled into university studying Sports and Exercise Sciences. I had jobs here and there working within retail and promotional work however I began looking into working within a gym as the concept of training for health, aesthetic, or performance-related goal fascinated me. After gaining my training qualifications I now work within the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer. I have moved into several positions within the fitness industry however to this day I still work with clients to help accomplish their goals within fitness, health, or sports performance.

AM

Early wake-ups, usually at this time I’m delivering Personal Training for clients before they start work. In this time I will also organize other sessions before they happen.

If you are employed you would probably start your daily shift work at this time – this can include cleaning and maintenance of the gym floor, programs, inductions, teaching classes, etc.

PM

Delivering Personal training sessions again. Often you’ll find gaps in-between PT sessions, in that time I would train myself – work on training programs for my clients or work on CPD courses (continuous professional development).

  1. What’s your unique selling point? Are you interested in Bodybuilding, teaching Zumba, or sport-specific training? It’s best to find and specialize in an area that interests you the most.
  2. Stay organized! It’s hard to keep up at times, long work hours if you haven’t meal prepped, not fully preparing your client’s sessions in advance, etc. So try to stay organized with yourself and with your work as much as possible and days will seem much easier!
