An A&R coordinator is someone who works for a larger music company, such as a production company or label, whose job it is to find artists to be brought to the company. They often work as scouts at gigs and concerts to find upcoming bands and are also responsible for bringing over already recognised artists to their company’s label, believing them to be an asset to the company.
